With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Miriam Angela (Mary Volkmer) C. S. C. Ellen in South Bend, Indiana, born in Winnetoon, Nebraska, who passed away on September 4, 2021 at the age of 85. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Veronica Volkmer (Fritz) and George H. Volkmer; and her brothers, Richard and Bernard.

In 1954, she graduated from Cathedral High School, staffed by Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
