It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Oscar Cantu of South Bend, Indiana, born in Elgin, Illinois, who passed away on October 8, 2021, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, Lucio Cantu and Juanita Cantu of South Bend; his children, Aimee Cantu (Donnell Langenderfer, Jr.) of South Bend and Tomas Juan Cantu of South Bend; his grandchildren, Donnell Langenderfer, III and Anthony Allen Juan Cantu; his siblings, Adelaida Shefbuch (Russell) of South Bend, Hortencia Sandoval (Reyes) of South Bend, Paulina Gundeck (Robert) of South Bend, Estella Sosa (Daniel) of South Bend, Sylvia Guevara (Jorge, Sr.) of South Bend, Rosa Linda Corr (Edward) of South Bend, Rosa Maria Heckaman (Mark) of South Bend, Luisa Guevara (Julio) of South Bend, Diana Ortiz (late Lucio) of Elsa, TX and Daniel Cortez (late Janie) of Donna, TX.; his cousins, Jose Luis Bueno (Pepe) and Claudio Bueno, Sr.; and his friends, Johnny DeLeon, Manuel Gonzalez, Armando Canul, Robert Gundeck and Michael Thacker. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
