He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Nowakowski and Elsie C. Nowakowski (Palmer); and his brother Robert Nowakowski. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Kay Johnston; his daughter Jessica Michael (John) of South Bend; his stepchildren, Kristin Ford (O'Dell) of Granger, IN and Steven Morrison (Meghan) of Hoover, AL; his grandchildren, Gage Michael of South Bend, Josiah Ford of Granger, Simon Morrison of Hoover, AL. and Hazel Morrison of Hoover, AL.; and his aunt Millie Hanlon.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
