He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Payton and Esther Payton (Moore). He is survived by: his wife Sheila Van Bruaene; his sons, Timothy "Tim" and Paul; his grandchildren, Graham, Hope, Grace, Emma, Andrew, Kade and Connor Payton; and his brother Larry.
