He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Gorbitz and Elizabeth Gorbitz. He is survived by: his wife Vicki; his daughters, Elizabeth Gorbitz, Stefanie Zepik (Scott) and Michelle Churchfield (Jon); his grandchildren, Brayden Hyink, Lane Zepik, Daemon Hyink, Colton Zepik, Brandon Zepik and Ivy Churchfield; his brother William Gorbitz; his nephew Guy Gorbitz; and his niece Eva Dolly (Tom).
