He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Birschitzky and Elizabeth Birschitzky (Promintzer); and his brother-in-law Norman Woltman. He is survived by: his wife Joan Seegers; his children, Tracey Birch-Gore (Joe) of South Bend and Tom Birch of Indianapolis, Indiana; his grandchildren, Jonathon, Elizabeth, Emily and Ellie; his sister Erna Woltman; and his nieces, Dianne of South Bend and Nancy of South Bend.
