He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Farkas and Velma Farkas (Bodnar); his wife Janice Anne Prough; his parents-in-law, George and Elinor Prough; his brother Frank Farkas; and his sisters-in-law, Magdelyn Farkas and Mary Lynn Norman.

He is survived by : his children, Alan (Kelly Ploch) of West Lafayette and Karen Waterman (Jayson) of Connersville; his grandchildren, Jonathan of Connersville, Elizabeth of Connersville, Anna of Connersville, Joseph of Connersville, Katherine Waterman of Connersville, Emily Stark (Adam) of Georgetown, IN, Molly Greenwood of Bozeman, MT and Kate Scipio (Cody) of Billings, MT; and his great grandchildren, Harper, Kaden and Marlana Stark of Georgetown, IN..
