He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alonzo Howard and Martha Howard (Floor); his wife Sharon Tesmer; his children, Tracy Huys of Cocoa Beach, FL and Thomas Howard, Jr. of South Bend, IN; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Corey, Kevin, Haven, Joey and Adam; and his stepdaughters, Tina Ewing and Tonya McCauley.
