He was predeceased by: his parents, E. Paul Smith and Velma Smith (Neely); and his brother Everett William Smith. He is survived by: his spouse Jean McLintock; his son Kevin Smith of South Bend; his grandchildren, Julia and Avery Smith; his sister Marcelle Goodwin (Curt) of White Salmon, WA; Ashley Smith of Raleigh, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
