He was predeceased by: his parents, Henrietta Diedrich (Haas) and William Charles Diedrich; and his brother-in-law Chester Crimmins. He is survived by: his mother-in-law Joan Mark; his sons, William and Mark (Julie); his mother-in-law Norma (Culver McGee); his wife Norma; his son Matt (Julie); his grandsons, Spencer, Clay and Hayden; his stepdaughter Debby Stephan (Michael); his sister Doris Crimmins of DeWitt, Michigan; his sibling's children, Mike Crimmins (Pat) of DeWitt and Barbara Crimmins of DeWitt; his great-niece Kristy; his great-nephew Brian; Bethovan, Zeke, Victoria, Icy, Oreo, Oscar and Katie. He is also survived by her five children and eight great-grandchildren.
