He is survived by: his wife Sue Smith (Brown) of Spencer, IN; his daughters, Angela Portteus-Browne (William) of Spencer, IN and Anita Beining (Nathan) of Kokomo, IN; his brother Max Smith of Indianapolis, IN; his grandchildren, Ian Portteus, Zachary Beining and Emily Beining; and his great grandchildren, Greyson Portteus and Claira Portteus.
