He was predeceased by: his parents, Fate Gordon and Lela Charlene Smith; his siblings, David Henry Smith, Ronnie Smith and Wanda D. Pierce; his nephew Michael "Tony" Pierce; and his parents-in-law, William V. and Lois Bellville.
He is survived by: his wife Sara L. Smith of Springport; his daughters, Elaine LaRose of Muncie, Nickole Farley (Stephen) of Sparta, TN and Lily Smith; his grandchildren, Makayla, Aubrey Corn of Muncie, Bradley of Sparta, TN, Anthony of Sparta, TN, Kody Clouse of Sparta, TN and Conner Farley of Sparta, TN; his siblings, Laura Smith of Springport, Kathy Eden of Indianapolis, Jeanie Scharbrough (Robert) of New Castle, Robert Smith (Rebecca) of Freetown, IN, Rick Smith (Geraldine) of Selma Randy and Danny Smith (Patricia) of Homosassa; and his siblings-in-law, Marie Bellville (John Dunk) and Carl Bellville (Deb Arenz). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
