With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Gean A. Criswell of Straughn, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Jason and Amanda "Mandi" Criswell (Simpson); his siblings, Estill, James, Rex (Fred Criswell) and Louise Crabtree (Evelyn Williams); and his siblings-in-law, Wendell Crabtree, Bill Williams, Bill Fisher, Steve Watkins and Pat Criswell.
He is survived by: his children, Phil Criswell (Stephanie), Jeff Fleming (Angel), Jay Fleming (Kevin) and Jody Fleming (Leslie); his grandchildren, Tyler Fleming (Leanna), Hannah Hochsteler (Beckett), Logan Fleming, Jackson Criswell, Alexandra Fleming, Dru Criswell, Caroline Fleming, Clayton and Logan Reno; his great grandchildren, Benjamin and Merrin Fleming; and his siblings, Timothy Criswell (Donna), Joe Criswell, Lorraine Hurt, Barbara Mullens (Ed), Rose Mary Fisher, Kay Watkins and Darlene Runyon. He is also survived by the love of his life, whom he married.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service (3406 S Memorial Dr, New Castle, IN 47362). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
