He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Victor" Gibson and Clara Mary Gibson (Evrard); his wife Roseanna Gibson; his son Tom Gibson; and his siblings, Roscoe Gibson, Freda Hahus, Marie Denison, Kay Gibson, Lorna Wilson and Martha Gibson.
He is survived by: his close friend Carolyn Hammack; his children, James Gibson (Ingrid) of Guntersville, AL, Don Gibson (Marilyn), Leopold, Bill Gibson (Glenda), Pat Gibson (Karin), Becky Sprinkle (Steve), Bedford and Ruthie Etienne (John); his siblings, Marian Baker of Romeoville, IL, Dick Gibson (Lynda), Carol Byers and Joe Gibson (Cheryl) of Lowell, IN; and his grandchildren, Christoph Gibson (Meredith), Katherina Reichert (David), Kendrick Gibson (Sara), Angela Tuohy (Ray), Natalie Fulton (Quinton), Amy Etienne (Jeremy), Will Gibson (Michelle), Tricia Hudson (John), Chelsea Wronowicz (Matt), Jody Arnold (Lloyd), Jamie Munro (Jon), Dreama Reed (Dean), Darrin Reed, Mackenzie Etienne and Nick Etienne.
