Miles Lewis Proebstel Obituary
Miles Lewis Proebstel, 79, passed away at his home in Tell City, Indiana. He was born November 5, 1938 to Elis Ray and Elizabeth Mae Augustus Vanosdol Proebstel of Clark County, Washington. He married JoAnn Flamion Proebstel on February 9, 1972. Miles served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era and retired from working in quality control at NSA Aluminum in Hawesville, Kentucky.
He enjoyed playing Euchre and golf, attending shooting matches, and playing with his black poodle, Heidi. He also was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn of Tell City; his children, Tammy Simmons, Debbie Ambers, Dwayne Proebstel, and Dennis Proebstel all of Oregon; 3 grandchildren, Melody Peter, Sherri Jo Hermance, and Dawn Underhill; 4 great-grandchildren, Jessica Sacks, Dan Hermance, Scott Hermance, and Ashlee Nix; brother, Gerald Ray Proebstel; and grandchildren.
Miles is preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda; a sister, Violet; and a brother, Joseph.
