Myrtle L. Braunecker Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Myrtle L. Braunecker (Tell City, Indiana), who passed away on July 26, 2025 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Myrtle L. Braunecker to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Stephens and Rosina "Rosie" Mullins Stephens; her husband Jim; her children, Jana Lynn and Jimmy Braunecker; and her brother James "Jimmy" Stephens.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Varner (Mike) of Edmond, OK, Tammy Linder (Billy) of DeLand, FL and Rochelle Smith of Tell City, IN; her grandchildren, Michael Varner, Bridget Turan, Nikita Braunecker, Danielle Smith, Ashley Woodlock, Dakota Braunecker and Duston Watson; her great grandchildren, Kalea Jones, Chase and Kaemon Turan; and her sister Betty Nance. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home (920 10th St, Tell City, IN 47586). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at the Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
