It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Lewis Hackleman III of Terre Haute, Indiana, who passed away on August 1, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lewis Hackleman and Zella Estella Tatum Hackleman; his wife Katherine Ellen King "Kathy" Hackleman; his sister Jo; and his brother-in-law Webb Carter.
He is survived by: his daughter Kim Hackleman; his son-in-law Mike Harvey; his grandsons, Max and Zach Harvey; his son Hal Hackleman; his close friend Chris Schellenberg; and his nieces, Kathy Boss, Leigh Carter and Claire Hillman. He is also survived by friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Unity Presbyterian Church (1207 E Springhill Dr, Terre Haute, IN 47802). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Indiana State University - New Theatre (536 N 7th St, Terre Haute, IN 47809).
