With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frances Hankins (Thorntown, Indiana), born in Gueydan, Louisiana, who passed away on July 15, 2019 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Oscar Hungerford and Adel Hungerford (Broussard); and her sisters, Genevieve Simon, Blanche Susong and Inez Hungerford.

She is survived by : her husband Guy W. Hankins; her children, Charlotte Graham (Rex) of Pittsboro, Darlene Johnson (Don) of Thorntown, Sherri Mays (Mike) of Pittsboro and Mike Hankins (Donna) of Thorntown; her grandchildren, Michelle Martin (Troy) of Thorntown, Scott Johnson (Tammy) of Nashville, TN, Chris Hankins of Sheridan, Matt Hankins (Amy) of Thorntown, Ashley Hankins (Jared) of Charlestown, SC, Josie and Calista Mays of Pittsboro; her great grandchildren, Alexa, Zack Martin, Conner, Caroline Johnson, Allie, Alyssa and Rhiannon Hankins; and her sister Margaret Ann Hutchinson of New Iberia, LA..
