It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rowena Mae Smith (Thorntown, Indiana), born in Rensselaer, New York, who passed away on February 11, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, John B. Groves and Nettie J. Groves (Dresser); her husband William R. Smith; and her siblings, Lawrence Smith, Buster Smith, Walter Groves, Morgan Groves, John B. Groves, Jr., Fleta Slemp and Edna Vitetta.
She is survived by : her former life partner George W. Gideon; her son George Gideon (Susan); and her great grandchild Many. She is also survived by Many Great-Great Grandchildren One Step Granddaughter Four Step Great Grandchildren Six Step Great-Great Grandchildren.
