It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wavelene Denniston of Union City, Indiana, who passed away on June 24, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Wavelene Denniston to pay them a last tribute.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Wavelene leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Wavelene may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles O. Rinebarger and Vera F. Rinebarger (Hufford); her husband Donald Denniston; and her son-in-law Jim Roeth. She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy (Jeff Girdler) of Virginia Beach, Phyllis Hiestand (Rodney) of Union City and Lori Denniston (Jack Denniston) of Richmond. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home (1499 N Broadway St, Greenville, OH 45331). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
