It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice Fanning (Upland, Indiana), born in Van Buren, Indiana, who passed away on May 12, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Banter and Mary "Olive" Banter (Ramseyer); her husband Ronald Fanning; her grandson Brennan Fanning; and her siblings, Doris McIntire (Lawrence), Phyllis Hollans, Mildred Sutton (Pete), R. D. Banter and Ardell Banter.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald "Sam" Fanning (Marion) of Upland, Debra Messler of Upland, Ronda Gilbert (Bob) of Upland, Linda Howell (Marion) of Upland and Dan Fanning (Amy) of Upland; her grandchildren, Michele O'Daire, Richard "Shane" Messler (Sue), Ben Messler (Carla), Tom Fanning (Karla), Kyle Fanning (Shelly), Christy Kindler (Dan), Casey Cox (B. J.), Robert Gilbert (Mel), Derek Howell (Josi) and Eric Howell; her great grandchildren, Deanna O'Daire (Nicole), Dakota O'Daire, Tara Neel (Todd), Alexandria, Tiffany Gonzalas (Ricky), Zachary Messler, Miranda Ortega, Marion, Nicholas Messler of San Diego, CA, Clifton Messler (Stacey) of Fairmount, Layla Messler of Fairmount, Addison of Fairmount, Emmilyn of Fairmount, Laykin of Fairmount, Nolan Fanning of Fairmount, Amaia of Ft. Wayne, Trenten of Ft. Wayne, Maddax of Ft. Wayne, Delanee Howell of Ft. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; and so many special friends.
