He was predeceased by : his parents, Louis Shoemaker and Leah Otting Shoemaker; his wife Doris Anna Wente Shoemaker; and his siblings, Carl, Robert, James Shoemaker and Norma Turmail.

He is survived by : his children, Dale Shoemaker of Vallonia and Rhonda Botti of Chicago; and his siblings, Eugene Shoemaker (Barb) of Vallonia and Margaret Snider of Salem.

Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church or Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
