He is survived by: his wife Beth Morris Florio; his sons, Alfred Robert Florio III (Marla) and Samuel Byron Florio; his stepdaughters, Gwynith Ropp (Robert) and Donna Cornwell (David); and his siblings, Linda Fein (Michael), Judith Tuscano (Lou) and Douglas Harper (Laura). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
