He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville O. Pettichord and Agnes Pettichord (Strand); his wife Theresa Pettichord; and his sisters, Lorene and Marilyn.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jodi Nielsen (Donny) of Valparaiso, Joy Meece (Joe) of Michigan City, Jill Saenz (Chris) of Conway and Amy Benjamin of Niagara Falls; his sister Nancy (John); and his grandchildren, Sean Nielsen (Carolyn), Michael Nielsen (Lydia), Tyler Nielsen (Samantha), Joey Meece, Danny Meece (Abby), Brandon, Brittny Benjamin, Anna and Emily Saenz. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
