He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Doan and Ethel Doan (DeHart); and his siblings, Ernest Doan Jr, Norma Evans, Anita Jordan and Linda Barnes.
He is survived by: his wife Judy C. Doan (Smith); his daughters, Traci Brant (Eric) of Valparaiso and Cynthia Oglesby (Graham) of Huntersville; his grandchildren, Lauren, Patrick, Nicholas, Claire and Alice; and his siblings, Betty Hogan (Doan) and Jimmy Doan.
