He is survived by: his daughter Aubrey Handley (Ryan) of Valparaiso; his grandchildren, Adam, Amber and Blake; and his siblings, Wade Bortell (Myrna), Abe Bortell (Mary), Libby Sanders (Bill) of Valparaiso, Donna Johnson (Paul) of Valparaiso and Phyllis Scheff (Gerald) of Portage. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
