He was predeceased by: his parents, Grant Shumaker and Ruby Shumaker (Orahood); his daughter Sue Ellen Shumaker; and his siblings, Kathleen Allen, Phyllis Rayphole, Virginia Dark, Robert Shumaker and Dean Shumaker.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Shumaker; his children, Dan Shumaker (Cathy), Kelvin Shumaker (Anna) of Olathe, KS, Tim Shumaker (Kathryn), Kenneth Shumaker (Valli) and Lucinda Sichting (Dan) of Brookston, IN; his grandchildren, Doug Shumaker (Megan), Angela Sliger (John), Bethaney Burlew (Cody), Jessica Shumaker, Mackenzie Alward (Brayden), Gabrielle Shumaker, Aidan Shumaker, Peyt Shumaker, Kendall Shumaker, Ellen Sichting (Chad) and Danielle Sichting; and his great grandchildren, Hunter Burlew, Jaxon Sliger, Mackenna Shumaker, Declan Shumaker and Hadley Alward. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorial contributions be given to St Jude Children's Hospital or Shriner's Children Hospital.
