She was predeceased by: her father George J. Geheb; her children, Morgan, Meghan and Jared Cannon; her siblings, George A. Geheb, Susan Kroeger and Barbara Dame; and her pet Buddy.
She is survived by: her mother Kathryn Geheb (Hires) of Vincennes; her husband Steve Compton of Vincennes; her children, Ryan M. Cannon (Monica A. Koler) of Gilbert, AZ., Keesha Peterson (Chad) of Mt. Carmel, IL and Christy McPherson (Doug) of Mt. Carmel, IL; her grandchildren, Carys Cannon, Kaitlyn Jones, Emily Jones, Ethan Peterson, Brayden Peterson (Carmen), Trevor Peterson (Addison Drone) and Allie McPherson; her siblings, Greg Geheb (Kathy), Mary Primus (Robert), Christina Stinson, Janet Sievers (Mark), Donna Kaiser (Michael) and Mark Geheb (Kimberly); and her pet Missy. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other family friends.
The Compton family has requested memorial contributions be made to Friends of the Knox County Public Library for Margaret's Recovery Project or the Knox County Drug Court Foundation.
