He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Lyon and Mamie A. Cutshall Lyon; his wife Melanie Sue Canfield Lyon; and his siblings, Gale L. Lyon, Dennis E. "Denny" Lyon, Marjorie Copeland, Fern Jones, Mary Gahafer, March, John A. Canfield, Barbara A. Shipley, Gerald A. "Jerry" Canfield, Betty J. Hockensmith and Ronnie Canfield.
He is survived by: his son Darrin Keith Lyon (Jana) of Plymouth, Indiana; his granddaughters, Amanda Clegg Lyon of New York and Sarah Brooke Lyon of San Francisco, California; his siblings, Gary W. Lyon (Janice) of Madison, Indiana, Vicki L. Jones (Pat) of Milton, Kentucky and Nancy Crozier of Florida; and also, Luke, Elijah, Michael, LaDonna Rue (John) of Florida and David Canfield of Madison, Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
