He was predeceased by: his wife Anne Ladd; and his brothers, Earl, Gerald, Steve and Donny Hayes.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Willie G. and Clara Jean; his children, Angela D. Hayes (Richard Jeffers) of Waynetown, IN and Michael Gordon (Paula Rayburn) of Wingate, IN.; his stepchildren, Kenny (Michelle Blick) of Kentucky, Paul, David Blick of Bowling Green, KY and Tonya Saltsman of Madison, IN.; his sister Lucille; and his brother-in-law Guy Cole of Richardsville, KY. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers the family recommends that memorials be made to the Indiana Veterans Home, Military Family Relief Fund, 2851 North River Road, West Lafayette, IN. 47906.
