It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anita M Slavens of West Lafayette, Indiana, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on August 9, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Carl Lund and Anna Lund (Carlson); her husband Paul; her son Thomas Paul Slavens; and her siblings, David Lund and Beatrice Christiansen.

She is survived by : her children, Elizabeth Hamilton, Karen Kurfiss, Patricia Garrott (Floyd), Andrew Slavens (Sarah Plaster) and Julia Slavens; and her grandchildren, Anna Holmes (Rob), John Garrott (Lisa), Joe Garrott (Emily), Kyle Kurfiss (Brooke), Tim Kurfiss (Michele) and Emma Slavens.
