He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul C. Krause and Alma A. Krause (Peterson); the mother of his children Evaro D. Krause; his sister Anna L. Potter; his grandson Jonathan M. Provost; and his wife Lynn M. Krause.
He is survived by: his children, Debra A. Provost (Charles) of Indianapolis, David P. Krause (Roberta) of West Lafayette, Jane E. Krause of West Lafayette and Philip C. Krause (Elizabeth) of West Lafayette. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
