With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Delbert R. Chesshir (West Terre Haute, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 28, 2025 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest O. Chesshir and Edith G. Chesshir; his wife Melvina Evetts Chesshir; his son Earnest Wesley Chesshir (Fonda); and his sisters, Dinah Norton, Vera Creasey and Lenora Ward.
He is survived by: his children, Kelly Chesshir (LaDonna), Catherine Tarwater and Mariah Chesshir; his siblings, Corrine Bagley, Pat Working, Sherry Boe, Jack Chesshir and Kelvin Chesshir; and also Summit. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins.
