Helen Fekete Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 8, 2020, at the age of 100, Helen Fekete of Whiting, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Chermak and Meri Chermak (Germek); her husband Steve J. "Blackie" Fekete; her siblings, Michael Chermak (Cecelia), Ann Franko (Michael), Mary Talabay (Charles), Lee Banik (Paul) and Marge Smolar (Walter); and her daughter Madeline.
She is survived by: her daughter Christine Vanek (Robert) of Crown Point; her grandchildren, Michael Frew, Sharon Frew, Steven Vanek and Kimberly Lowe (Jason); her great grandchildren, Megan Halko (Aaron) and Ryan Frew; and her great great grandchild Henry Halko. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
