With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph John Penksa Jr. of Winamac, Indiana, who passed away on November 7, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Joseph may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joseph touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph John and Elizabeth Mary Penksa (Boksa). He is survived by: his wife Debra Sue Hinkleman (Stephen); and his daughters, Brenda Lee Walters (RB) of Monterey, IN, Sandra Jean Hartz (Troy) of Grand Junction, CO and Cynthia Marie Lewis of Winamac, IN. He is also survived by Daughter, 14 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, Many Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Anne's Catholic Church (6894 Walnut St, Monterey, IN 46960). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Anne's Cemetery.
