It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn J. Barrus (Winona Lake, Indiana), born in Wabash, Indiana, who passed away on March 21, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Harry Smith and Mary Pauline Smith (Rice); her half-siblings, Jackie Fetter and William Pence; and her brother-in-law Bill Fleck.

She is survived by : her children, Tom Barrus (Angie), Tony Barrus (Charlene) and April Swihart (Shane); and her sister Mary K. Fleck. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to K21 Health Foundation, 1101 Park Ave, Winona Lake, IN 46590.
