He was predeceased by : his parents, Marcus Hays and Mary Louise Hays (Bond). He is survived by : his wife Louise Hays of Worthington; his children, Joe P. Hays (Angie) of Indianapolis, Charles R. Hays of Florida, Barbara Abshire Osadola (Matthew) of Indianapolis, Donna L. Murray of Michigan and Robert M. Hays of Indianapolis; his grandchildren, Ken Hays (Lauren), Mary Hays, Catherine Hays, Marcus Hays, Jonathon Abshire, Tricia Cranston (Brad), Jared Murray (Laura), Deanna Beasley (Nathan) and Mikayla Gonzales (Danny); his great grandchildren, Les Perrin, Ava Perrin, Reagan Perrin, Erin Hays, Jack Hays, Elena Murray and Brady James Gonzales; his great great grandchildren, Hudson Hays and Branson Hays; his sister Mary Ann Tate; his niece Sara McCormick (Jim); and his nephew Mark Tate (Mary). He is also survived by 3 great nieces; 3 great nephews and 2 great great nephews.
