He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Welty and Dolores Welty. He is survived by: his wife Janice; his siblings, Jerry (Maria) and Susan Yacos; his children, Cindy Eager (Karl), Jennifer Sautbine (Ryan) and Jon (Russ Kutell); his grandchildren, Joel Eager (Annie), Evan Kutell, Joshua Eager, Felicia Kutell, Madeline Sautbine (Mbongeni "Geni" Kanyane), Sam Sautbine, Christina Eager and Lilly Sautbine; and his great grandchild Lydia Eager.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Zionsville United Methodist Church (9644 Whitestown Rd, Zionsville, IN 46077). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Flint Cemetery (261 N Flint Rd, Angola, IN 46703).
Among Dave's favorite places was the family farm in Angola, Indiana, where he spent countless hours working on projects with his children and grandchildren, taking long strolls down "Linger Longer Lane," and even designing a few par-3 golf holes for family fun!To honor Dave's life of service, the family requests that memorial donations be made to The YMCA of the Rockies, 2515 Tunnel Road, Estes Park, Colorado 80511.
