With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mervyn Malcolm Copeland (Zionsville, Indiana), born in Skidmore, Missouri, who passed away on April 8, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his mother Mary Katherine Gray Copeland (Thelma Dunn Copeland); his sisters, Marilyn Riat (Larry) and Margaret Anderson (Herb); his niece Robin Riat; and his stepdaughter Denise Powers (Mike).

He is survived by : his daughters, Ann Copeland and Lea Bishop (Scott); his grandchildren, Matthew and Morgan Wolseley; his former life partner Patricia Copeland; his stepchildren, Dale Dunn (Jan), Cindy Dadisman (Rick) and Faye Martina; and his father Harold Copeland. He is also survived by relatives and friends.

In addition to his contributions to education, Merv served his country with distinction as a dedicated civilian in the Department of the Army, working 30 years at the Pentagon.
