He was predeceased by: his parents, John Burwell and Eunice Burwell (Heins); and his brother Morris Burwell. He is survived by: his former spouse Caryl Joan Schwab; his son Ritchie; his wife Barbara of Manhattan; and his children, Ritch Burwell (Janet) of Riley, Kansas, Randy Burwell (Pamela) of Leawood, Kansas, Ronald Hager (LaNell) of Linn Creek, Missouri, Linda Pittenger (Tom) of Manhattan, Kansas, Terri Yeates of Glendale, Arizona and Ricky Hager of Independence, Kansas. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Memorials may be made to Meals On Wheels and left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
