He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Pientka and Pauline Pientka (Goracke); and his siblings, Marie Lorson, Loretta Donnelly, Cecilia Burt, Berniece Dion, Frances Pientka, Leonard Pientka and Ernest Pientka.
He is survived by: his wife Edna of Abilene; and his children, Steve Pientka (Sherilyn Brandt) of Abilene, Connie Blodgett of Topeka, Jane Rufener (Jeff) of Columbus, Cecilia Junghans (Jay) of Topeka and Deanna Niles (Doug) of Topeka. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
