He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight Burchard and Ruth Burchard (Howie); his sister Ruth Ann Burchard; and his grandchildren, Hannah Kate Burchard and Samuel Elijah Burchard.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine; his children, Anita Williams (Tom), Kevin (Susan), Sam (Tammy) and Austin (Donna); his grandchildren, John D. Williams, Sara Garza, Justin Burchard, Jessica Cambo, Jessie Edwards, Victoria Burchard, Sophie Burchard, Brodie Burchard, Cheyenne Teeter, Gabriel Burchard and Emberlynn Burchard; and his brother Paul S. Burchard (Patty).
The family suggests memorials be given to the Abilene Baptist Academy.
