She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Franklin and Lillie Mae Root (Gannon); her husband John R. Whitehair; and her siblings, Lurye Emig, Norman and Keith Root.

She is survived by: her children, Suzanne Crain (Dennis) of Overland Park, Kansas, Jean Wilson (Dan) of Abilene, Judy Hammond of Tulsa and Terry Whitehair (Gale) of Abilene.

The family suggests memorials be given to St. Andrew Catholic Church or Donor's personal choice.
