It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Hartman of Abilene, Kansas, born in Clay Center, Kansas, who passed away on July 7, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter W. Hartman and Elida Mae Hartman (Palmeeter); his wife Dorothy Sawin; his sister DoraDeane Lips; his son Gene (Jan Hartman) of Abilene; and his grandchildren, Brian Hartman, Brad (Jenell Hartman) and Cristin (Pat Casteel). He was also cherished by 5 great grandchildren.
