Janis Johnston Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janis Johnston of Alton, Kansas, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on May 27, 2021, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Earl R. and Betty L. Brown Jr. (Gunnell); her husband Jerry W. Johnston of Alton, KS; her son Jason (Douglas); and her siblings-in-law, Ruth Elaine Dunn (Tom) of Anna, IL, Cindy L. Little (Rich) of Auburn, KS and Rex A. Johnston (Peggy Anschutz) of Alton, KS. She was also cherished by 19 nieces & nephews, 26 great nieces & nephews, and two great-great nieces and nephews.
Some volunteer contributions she was most proud of include serving on the boards for Hospice and the American Cancer Society.
