He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Marler McCalla; and his sister Donna Addington. He is survived by: his daughters, Loucinda McCalla, Kathleen McCalla Augustini (Treviso, Italy) and Lou Gene McCalla; his grandchildren, Jeremiah Unruh of Las Vegas, NV, Jennifer Unruh of Austin, TX, Aaron DeHaven of Wichita, KS and Kyle DeHaven of St. Paul, MN; his great grandchild Riley DeHaven of Wichita, KS; and his siblings, Joan Streebin of Norman, OK and David McCalla of Wichita, KS.
