He was predeceased by : his parents, Willard Bruce Scruggs and Myrtle Scruggs Collins. He is survived by : his wife Jorita Scruggs; his children, Kevin Scruggs and Sarah Scruggs; his sisters, Brenda Welton (Ted), Sharon Pummel (Glen) and Vicki Gressel (Dorsey); and also Dennis.

Memorial contributions for Dennis may be made to the Cowley County Humane Society, donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Ark City.
