It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Edward Hawkins of Arkansas City, Kansas, born in Wichita, Kansas, who passed away on April 30, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, George Edwin and Kathryn Louise Hawkins (Fisher); and his brother Henry Hawkins. He is survived by : his wife Twyla Hawkins; his sons, Mark Hawkins (Debbie) of Eskridge, Michael Hawkins (Kathi) of Arkansas City and James Todd Hawkins of Derby; and his siblings, Jon Hawkins (Joyce) of Baldwin City, Suzanne Smith of Newkirk, OK, Jennifer Wollard (Carl) of Arkansas City, Phyllis Melton (Leon) of Cedar Vale and Sheri Ramirez (Raymond). He is also survived by Eleven grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with the First Baptist Church in Arkansas City. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
