He was predeceased by: his father Allan; his granddaughter Tammy; his daughter Tammy; and his sisters, Helen Anderson, Mary Nelson and Loretta Rikoff.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Elaine Rogers; his sons, James Lee, Roger Pence (Joan), Quinn Pence (Carla) and Lee Pence (DJ); his siblings, Lorraine Bliss and Lawrence Pence; and his grandchildren, Tiffany Pence, Danielle Quintanar, Jeremiah Pence, Levi Pence, Matthew Pence, Caleb Pence, Jeshua Pence, Luke Pence, Mariah Pence and Samual Pence. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives.
