She was predeceased by: her parents, John Cruth and Mary Cruth (Freeman); her husband Marvin Capps; her daughter Gail Prescott; her great grandchild Anna Tatro; her stepfather Weldon ManWarren; and her siblings, Ralph, Jerry, Alva, Robert Cruth (Bob) and Ruby Loucks.
She is survived by: her sons, Marvin "Linn" Capps Jr. of Attica and Jeff Capps (Diana) of Harper, Kansas; her grandchildren, Amanda Pool, Justin Tatro (Kaitlin), Logan Capps (Corissa), Katie Zimmerman (Tyler) and Adam Capps (Alissa); and her sister Mary Lou Valentine of Hutchinson, Kansas. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Paul Bannister Memorial Alliance (Attica's Christmas toy drive to honor Edith's love for Christmas and giving to children) or Attica Senior Center and can be sent in care of Prairie Rose Funeral Homes, 613 W 14th St ~ Harper, Kansas 67058.
